The Halfmoon Bay Community Association (HBCA) is pleased to host the first of our quarterly Town Hall meetings with Area B Director, Lori Pratt, and other invited guests.
Town Hall – Save the Date!
Monday, June 28th, 2021 – 7:00 p.m.

To ensure a worthwhile discussion, a list of topics was identified in consultation with our Board members and the Area B Director. To help focus the discussion on topics that are important to you, please, by email to the HBCA:
1) Select a total of 3 topics from the list below and/or identify your own.
2) Provide your SPECIFIC questions for each of your 3 topics.
DEADLINE for submission: Sunday, June 20th 6:00 p.m.
Late submissions cannot be accepted. A final list of the most frequently identified topics and associated questions will be provided to the Area B Director to facilitate responses at the Town Hall. Discussion for each topic will include a Question & Answer session, as time permits. If your topic does not appear on the final agenda, it may be deferred to the next Town Hall (October 18th, in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting).

- SCRD Annual Budget (update by Area B Director)
- Property Taxes & Fees (less services/higher taxes)
- Amalgamation of Districts (less bureaucracy)
- Coopers Green Community Hall (status of construction decision)
- Recycling/Landfill/Composting
- Water (Source; Meters; Costs)
- Trails, Bikeways and Pathway
- Short-term Rentals – Bylaw Enforcement
- Schools (use of property; feeding hungry)
- Protecting Nature (forest fires; wildlife – attractants, speeding; marine life – pollutants)
We have asked that Lori provide written responses to other topics that were submitted. The Town Hall will commence with a welcome letter from the President of the HBCA; Lori will then be invited to respond to each topic, followed by a brief Question and Answer period.
