The waterfront hall is adjacent to the public beach, and both the hall and washroom are wheelchair accessible. The venue is 92.9 square metres (1,000 square feet) in size. View the floor plan, photos and rental policy.

RENTING THE HALL

STEPS TO RENT
  1. Submit a Booking Request using the form below. 
  2. Follow payment directions & agree to the rental policy.
  3. Provide your insurance policy and any permits.
  4. Access information will be provided before your event.
  5. Follow the clean-up & departure checklist.

PRICE & CANCELLATIONS
The rental fee is $25/hour for individuals, $650/day for weddings with alcohol, non-profit pricing also available. A $150 deposit will be refunded post-event if the facility is left in good condition. The deposit may be waived for frequent renters. As per the rental policy, cancelling less than 7 days before a booking will forfeit any rental fees.

TIMING
Please submit booking requests 30 days before your event to allow time for processing, payment, and approvals.

PAYMENT
After you submit a booking request, we will confirm availability and send instructions to pay and confirm your booking. Payment of the rental fee and deposit is due 14 days before the event date.

Event Information

Important: Provide a thorough description. You are only permitted to use the facility for activities described here. Example descriptions: “Family reunion picnic and games, with catered lunch” or “Workshop featuring presentations and live music performance”. If you describe your event as a meeting, but decide to hold a yoga class instead, your approval is not valid. 

Insurance

The organizer must obtain comprehensive general liability insurance naming the Halfmoon Bay Community Association and Sunshine Coast Regional District as additionally insured, with a minimum of $2,000,000 liability coverage. Insurance is required to cover bodily injury and/or death to any one or more person including voluntary medical payments and property damage.
