Excerpt: …..Have you heard about the Halfmoon Bay Community Development Forum (CDF)? Well, you can find all the information at halfmoon-bay.ca/cdf on the Halfmoon Bay Community Association website. The Community Development Forum (CDF) was formed by a group of residents in 2022 in response to community concerns about development and land use in Halfmoon Bay. Its purpose is to uphold the vision and intent of the Official Community Plan (OCP). The CDF focuses on issues impacting, or of interest to, neighborhoods and the wider Halfmoon Bay community, and does not address highly localized issues. The organizing committee’s ability to work on community issues is dependent on the capacity of volunteers. There are seven committee members as well as eight volunteer members. One of the roles of this committee is to act as a focal point for the Halfmoon Bay community on significant issues related to land use and the development of the community. This includes collecting and sharing information about selected issues and related processes and facilitating community engagement. Please contact them at cdf@halfmoon-bay.ca if you have any questions or require more information.
