Jennifer Grenz, expert on Knotweeds, was the guest speaker at the Town Forum/Workshop we held in the Sechelt Band Hall in 2017. More than a hundred attendees put their names on our mailing list and our information brochure reached thousands more.
In subsequent years, the SCRD hired Grenz to treat problem patches of Knotweed on SCRD land but householders are left to their own devices or must hire accredited treatment companies.
Anyone who spots Japanese Knotweed on their travels can download an app called Report-A-Weed and report their sighting with a photo.
