We are proud to say that the SEASIDE SHUFFLE, a FREE day-long family music festival in Coopers Green Park by the shores of Halfmoon Bay, went off without a hitch!
Sunday, September 11th – 11:30 (music starts at noon) to 7 p.m.
The program included:
- local musicians on the Main Stage sponsored by the Sunshine Coast Community Forest,
- food vendors in the Food Court: West Coast Nibbles; Sushma’s Samosas; Mamma Musey’s Pierogis, Semir’s Hot Dog Cart, All Thai’d Up, and e.b. Ice Cream!
- a Libations Lounge sponsored by and including Batch 44; The Bricker Cider Company; Bruinwood Estates Distillery
- Kid’s Fun Zone (sponsored by Jenkins Construction), and featuring, from 1:15 – 2:00, Jill Shatford (the talented singer/musician performing music for the young and young-at-heart), and Tanya Widsten (face-painter extraordinaire!)
- the Shuffle Bus is back (sponsored by Lincoln Construction): route map
- Bingo! Remember how much fun it was at the Fair in July. Well, Dan and his team is back and all ages can take part in the fun!
- A Human Slot Machine – yes, you heard it here first! Thanks to visitors from the UK for suggesting another family-friendly activity.
- 50/50 draws, the proceeds from which will benefit the WINNER and will go towards the HBCA’s community activities.

12:00 – 1:15 – Blue Western (Archie MacLean (drums, vocals), Warren Allan (bass, vocals), Mike Evans (guitar, vocals) and Garth Bowen (fiddle, mandolin, guitar, vocals – playing old country classics)
2:00 – 3:15 – Moss Trio (Anna Lumiere (keys and vocals), Graham Ord (sax and flute), Aristazabal Hawkes (bass) with special guest Anagram drummer John Rule – presenting a groovy selection of originals, jazz, funk and world music. Feed your soul, shake your bod, open your ears)
3:15 – 5:15 – Guillermo Martinez (Argentinian folk/blue guitarist extraordinaire – playing originals, folk music from his native Argentina, and popular music such as a brilliant Beatles medley)
5:30 – Georgia Fats (Joël Fafard on (vocals and slide guitar), Bary Taylor (drums) and Boyd Norman (bass) – playing toe-tapping music described as “dirty greasy blues gospel”!)
