A day-long family music festival was held by the shores of Coopers Green Park – featuring local entertainers and food vendors, and a Libations Lounge. To say this event was a success is an understatement! Best estimates are that between 650 and 800 people joined in the revelry, including many who took advantage of the very popular Shuffle Bus, which ran for 7+ hours between the Park and Welcome Woods.
Young and old, it was a sea of smiling faces as attendees reconnected with friends and neighbours and those not from the area came to realize what a fantastic community we have here in Halfmoon Bay. The activity-packed Children’s Fun Zone (program) was a hit with the kids! The Main Stage was humming with music all day long, from The Burying Ground, Joe Stanton, Michelle Morand (with a selection for the young at heart), to Playback rocking away the evening with classic favourites. DJ Buzy B played in between sets and closed out the event with some popular tunes which kept people up on the dance floor until the end (who wanted to leave???).

A HUGE shout-out to the HBCoA Board who worked tirelessly for 7 weeks; to the community-minded volunteers (more than 25 of them) who kept the day’s activities on track; to the food and beverage vendors and ice-cream truck who kept attendees well fed and “watered”; to our very generous sponsors whose donations made sure we could bring the very best to the event; and to all of the other suppliers who responded to our requests without hesitation! And last but not least THANK YOU to all who attended! Throughout the day, you told us with your words and your smiles that you were exactly where you needed to be after such a difficult 18 months.
